Ghan to Darwin.

Has anyone given any thought as to what sort of timetable the Ghan
would run to if it (note the if ) runs to Darwin.
It seems to me that in order to arrive in Darwin at a reasonable hour
, ie sometime during the day up until say 11-00 PM at night ,
the current timetable will have to be altered.

Shuffling the times around means that to get to Darwin at a reasonable
hour , means leaving Adelaide at a silly hour , ie in the wee hours of
the morning.
The only other option is for the train to go really slow , or have it
sit around at AP for many hours .

Any ideas??
