Public Transport something or other Committee.
Government committee meant to assist the Director of PT and the Minister in
keeping the private operators in line, and in supervising them and enforcing
the passengers charter. This supposedly includes approving any changes to
timetables.
Its task is not made easier by the private operators treating the process as
a
joke and not taking any notice of it, and the department and government
being
not much better.
Its made up mostly of representatives of relevant community organisations.
I'm
on it, representing the PTUA.
