You have to try the Northern Suburbs Railway where it runs in the middle of
the Mitchell Freeway. IIRC, Warwick and surrounding stations will give you
good road/rails views. Also, Perth City station is good for the local EMU's
and East Perth is good for seeing the Indian (especially seen from the
Trasnpert station and bridge).

If you like water views, try the Swan River (Guildford, Claisebrook,
Fremantle).

East Midland and Midland (standard gauge platform) are good for seeing the
freighters/Indian.
