I strongly disagree. Ask anyone who has been on "The Last Great Train Ride"
and they will disagree too. You are completely missing the point here. The
whole idea was to "enjoy(?)" roughing it on a rickety old van. That was the
whole adventure. Sure, the railmotor is more comfortable but that would be
like saying you're going camping then booking into a motel.

If everyone had that attitude, the steam preservation societies would all be
long dead. Why travel on a steam train when there is a fast, clean(?),
comfortable, air-conditioned EMU to do the same job? Why? Because it's a
bloody steam train, that's why. It's not about where you're going, its about
how you're getting there.
