On recieving this piece of expensive "garbage" in my letter box, I was at
first ready to storm down to these Office's and complain loudly about the
thousands of dollars of Public Funds being used to promote riches for a few!

This Railway Deviation will be a terrible thing for the ordinary people here
on the Border! Pensioners living in their Homes close to the Central parts
of Wodonga [they have lived their for up to 40 years] are in the way of
Developers, They are too old to drive, and too poor to afford taxi's. They
are close enough to walk a little way to a Central Railway Station, and they
do, at least 100 Pensioners a day travel to Wangaratta and Melbourne for
Medical or other appointments.
The greedy arseholes in Council, with bulging wallets, redirect the poor out
of their homes, by jacking up the Rates and rezoning when ever their Mates
pull their cords!
One Low Life here owns a factory in the flood plains between Albury and
Wodonga. Our dis-honourable Council wants to recover the flood plains, and
it is very strongly rumoured that in return for his swamp he will be able to
take over the Park between the Police Station and the Swimming Pool, as well
as the Police and Court to develop his almost Casino!
This all happens over the road from the Wodonga Rail Station, which rumours
suggest will lay idle for as long as the Sale Yards have, that is 15 years!
These were removed in indecent haste, to allow redevelopment, that was going
to employ 1200 people in 1980...sounds familliar does'nt it.
About time Councillors and Politicians were held responsible for their
actions, and gaol terms given them when their stuff ups are found out later
on.
Lets face it if the Rail Line is moved, it will be replaced with a single SG
line, and the BG will be removed all together.
Who is going to spend millions on a new BG Rail Yard [for one train a day]
and a New Platform, for 100 or so Pensioners, on reduced fares.
