Re: CityRail Olympic Passenger Journeys



How do CityRail get these statistics? Do they just make them up or is it a
supposed educated guess?

They didn't sell tickets to people with Olympic tickets, and these people
did not have to pass through any sort of gates that would be able to count
them. I worked at the Olympics and went to events and at no time did I see
anyone attempting to count passengers. I suspect CityRail just makes up
these numbers so that the bureaucrats can sound good and the Minister can
blow his own trumpet.
