Yes, it is very slow. Currently it is table for 10 hours 40 minutes.
(potential for 9h 30 minutes)

Upgrade the suspecsion, bogie, brake. Refurbish loco, uses AN class
instead of BL class. Improve slow stretch like Adelaide Hills and
Newport-Spencer Street section. 160kph shouldn't be hard to achieve
with conventional rolling stock since by European standard, 160kph can
be achieve by  commuter stopping trains.
