Melbourne-Geelong rail services still disrupted

Rail services between Melbourne and Geelong are unlikely to resume
before the weekend.

The tracks have been blocked since a 70 tonne concrete girder fell on
them on Sunday, killing a building worker.

Buses have been replacing the train service.

V-Line's Dean Souter says most commuters have been very understanding.

"At this stage it looks as though the tracks will be cleared either
Saturday or Sunday."

"Workers stopped work today to pay respects for the worker who was
killed in the accident and work is also expected to stop tomorrow for
the funeral," he said
