What is the purpose of set numbers on the Cityrail sparks? In Melbourne,
fleet control go by a motor car number to see what set it is...
What does it really matter where a set ends up? I have heard of "sectors"
why are these so important? As long as you have the right number of the
right type of train, shouldn't it be irrelevant which set it is?
