Nobody is forcing you to ride the whole Airport Express.  You can ride to
Tsing Yi, then catch the MTR from there for free.  All for A$10.

If you're really desperate, you can catch S1 from the airport to Tung
Chung (a short trip) then change to MTR.  That'll save a few dollars.
