The Peel River cut the roads in Tamworth at about 10.30am. Efforts are
being made to get a train up there to run local shuttles.
The Hunter River at Muswellbrook has passed its predicted peak of 10m and
is continuing to rise. Evacuations have started.
Some bridges near Kempsey and Gloucester have been closed.
If the North West line is in danger of being cut at Gunnedah, logic
suggests not sending an Xplorer out there tonight in case it gets
stranded. Maybe the Moree Xplorer could be used for local services at
Tamworth?
