Re: Plane/train collisions



Batchelor airstrip 97 Kms by rail from Darwin had the
east west runway, crossing over the old NAR mainline.

Although there were no recorded train/plane collisions,
in the early years of WW2 a US B17 crash landed and
blocked the line.
