Not long I would hope! The 57's were reputed as being very ba (ahem)
powerful...

No problem if their top speed is 55mph- they would be powerful enough to
keep close to top speed going uphill (as said) and 55mph is good enough
downhill- that's 89kmh! :-)

Worst comes to worst- you could always put 4401 on the back of the train
:-)
