Quoting from http://www.theage.com.au/news/20000527/A20731-2000May26.html
'They promise compensation in the form of free tickets for customers with
monthly, six-monthly or yearly tickets if services fail to reach punctuality
and reliability targets.'
Two comments:
1. Will the tickets be proper Metcard tickets, or useless tickets like mini
versions of the single company/single mode
Baysider that don't work on 80% of Melbourne PT services? The former would
cost the transport operators, whereas
the latter would cost very little.
2. Buses seem to be left out once again - they are the poor relation public
transport in Melbourne.
