Well Sweden has a population similar to ours and the company ABB
originates from
there, we once had the capability of building the stuff (which was well
before
my time) and ADI built some large diesels for the colins class
submarines. One
of the problems is the Clyde and Gonnians have to compete with GE (USA)
and GM
(USA), but they have to purchase designs off them, so the yanks have the

advantage when competing against the Australian companies. Australia's
problem
is caused by 30 years of federal govt stuff ups.

ERRRR the Collins are fitted with Hedemora Deisel engines

These are European, not Australian

They  MAY have been assembled here, certainly not made here.
