Surveyers at McInytyre!

This week Private surveyors were checking McIntyre loop UP end. Would not
tell us what for, but after showing one over the engine, he let slip that a
Locomotive Fuelling Point is to be built there very soon...interesting thing
was he was not working for Freight Australia. Doubt if it would be GNRS,
they would be more likely to set up in the old ConTrans Yard.
Austrac are committed to their 2 km Yards at Somerton.
Could it be ATN [Tasrail] who rumours have operating trains in Victoria?
or could it be Freight Rail?
Either way V/Line managed a pipeline through here that supplies aviation gas
to Tanks at Somerton.
This line is a multi use system where you divide the different fuels by
placing a plug [moveable] to separate the different grades, in the line, so
you can send Avgas, super and diesel one after the other.
