[NSW] Bustitution during Olympics

>From CityRail's Media Releases http://www.cityrail.nsw.gov.au/Media/olytable.htm

Changes in suburban train operating will include:

a.. Buses replacing trains at Macdonaldtown, Homebush, Regents Park and Berala Stations.
b.. Buses will operate for travel from Bankstown, Yagoona, Birrong and Sefton stations to
Lidcombe.
c.. For travel between Campbelltown and Blacktown on the Cumberland Line, people will need to
travel to Granville and change trains.
d.. All people travelling to the City from the Carlingford Line will need to change trains at
Clyde.
e.. South Coast Line: Trains to Sydney will start at Dapto. Local rail services will operate
between Nowra and Dapto and between Thirroul and Wollongong. Buses will replace trains on the Port
Kembla branch line.
f.. Southern Highlands Line: Trains will run between Moss Vale and Campbelltown to meet frequent
suburban services. Buses will replace trains between Goulburn and Moss Vale.
g.. Blue Mountains Line: Trains to Sydney will generally start at Katoomba. However, a service
will be maintained from Mount Victoria. Buses will replace trains between Lithgow and Katoomba.
h.. Newcastle & Hunter Lines: Trains to Sydney will start at Newcastle. Local services will
operate between Dungog, Scone and Newcastle.

* Interesting to see how Macdonaldtown will be bustituted. Will they bustitute the whole local line
for expresses to run on or just bustitute Mcdonaldtown, and where will they take people from
Macdonaldtown to??? Newtown? There's only 1 minute time saved by bustituting Mcdonaldtown

* Homebush bustitution is interesting as the government promised Homebush would be open during
Olympics.

* Liverpool via Regent's Park trains being bustituted between Lidcombe and Sefton is also highly
interesting. Are there terminating facilities at Sefton or will trains fly through?

* Again "Cumberland Line's" importance (or the lack of it) is shown with the line being out of
operation for the 2 weks.

* I'm a little surprised the Carlingford line isn't completely bustituted to scrape up the last 4
cars available.

* I don't understand how "services will be maintained from Mt. Victoria" when the section between
Lithgow and Katoomba will be bustituted.
