Westrail drivers striked on Thursday 16/3/00 over a breakdown in talks on
contractual arrangements. They were back at work the following day.
Surprisingly, a grain train (5056 Grain from West Merredin) ran through
Midland in the early afternoon on Thursday. Was this a strike-breaker at
work, or perhaps a ghost train? Maybe it was crewed by Lachlan Valley?
