Re: Millennium train seats



When the G sets were being constructed, one of the electric preservation
groups (can't remember if it was SETS or HET) visited Goninans. It was
explained and shown to us how the seats had to be attached to strong metal
beams placed between the walls to withstand the forces when the seats are
moved.

It is impossible to retrofit these beams into the T and C sets.

This beam would have to be installed in the millennium trains and may be a
contributing factor to its weight problem (see an earlier thread).
