Re: [NSW] Plasma screen--staff refusing to use them
http://www.nectech.com/presentationproducts/plasma/PDShome.htm
A link to NEC's site. A plasma screen operates on gas, unlike the
standard CRT (electron beam) and the LCD (liquid crystals) it uses gas
(plasma) to generate a picture.
State Rail's model is PlasmaSync 770 or something like that. I'll take a
closer look in the coming week.
Seeing now that staff are "refusing to use them [the displays]" I now
have doubts as to the indicators at Strathfield starting to work before
the Olympics.

The new platform indicators being installed at 16 CityRail
stations.
The screens are not like a conventional television screen, and
are flat -
similar to a larger version of a laptop screen.
Now that wasn't too hard to explain, Hubert, was it? :)
