[QLD] Bundy's Last Great Adventure

Work on rebushing and resleeving the motionwork on the Bundaberg Fowler,
Pleystowe No.5 was completed at Woodford on Thursday, 27th July. The loco
was steamed and test run a number of times up and down the track. Everthing
ran perfectly the workshop staff having done an excellent job. The paintwork
is also virtually complete with only a bit of touch-up lining out to be
done.
The cab has been fitted out with a shelf for a 2-way radio unit and the
necessary wiring. A back-up battery has also been fitted, in case of
interference from the turbogenerator.
With just on a week to go before the loco leaves on its northern safari
there is still a lot of logistical work to organise.
