Reading a recent posting re a derailment at Hornsby prompts me to ask if
anyone doesn't know how (nearly) all platforms are numbered in NSW, i.e.
from the left looking "up". Where are the exceptions? Not the City Circle -
"up" is towards Central anti-clockwise, the direction of DECREASING
kilometerage (but of INCREASING signal distance markings!) And they always
start from Platform 1 (except Wynyard until platforms 1 and 2 are restored
to rail use) and Lidcombe - any others?
