Argus is the communications arm of the Rail Access Corporation. They look
after the copper, coaxial and fibre optic networks which run alongside the
railway.

There are ideas about leasing out some of their dark fibre (of which they
have substantial unused bandwidth) to the telcos, digital TV networks and
internet backbone providers. Makes a lot of sense, too.
