Re: Sydney 1969 rail map

Interesting that 10 stations have closed since then but 12 have opened (if I
count correctly: closed- Abbatoirs, Pipitta, Sandown, Goodyear, Hardies,
Ropes Creek, Cochrane, Dunheved, Warwick farm R/C, Nat Park; opened 5
airport, 4 ESR, Holsworthy, OLP, Macarthur). The trend is forwards rather
than backward.

Interesting that therre is no reference to the platforms at Canterbry
Racecourse. Are the remains still visible from the bankstown line? Was there
an actual station there or just sidings?

I wonder about the relevance of elevation beside each sation is public on a
rail map!
