Re: TV Indicators on Eastern Suburbs line- Accurcay?

Hi there

First of all they're not TVs--they're NEC PlasmaSync 3300 (33 inch) plasma
screens with computers behind each screen.

Secondly they're supposed to reflect the actual real time remaining -- it is
connected to track circuits to (accurately) estimate the arrival time.
However most are under testing and sometimes do stuff up quite badly.

Hi

Does anyone know if these indicators are the same as the earlier red
strip units where the expected arrival is of the next train is based
purely on the timetable and not on actual running? This can give a
ludicrous situation where a train is expected in 0 minutes for as long
as it is late!
