I actually believe the busways will be a great boon to public transport. The
reason for the current expense is the CBD property costs and engineering
feats being undertaken to provide this service.

It will put buses on a more competitive footing against cars.

Who knows, if the concept pays off, it could mean the end for heavy rail for
passenger traffic. (I don't think so).
