To create a newsgroup outside the alt. whatever naming pattern requires
approvals, discussions, patience with people with entrenched attitudes (as
has been demonstrated in this thread). Fortunately the bureaucrats and
self-appointed pooh-bars can be avoided. Set up your alt. whatever group,
all it takes is an audience. Its up to you if you want
alt.binaries.pictures.ausrail-freight-tickets or whatever go for it.  Its
your call... see

If your ISP won't cater to your tastes on the web, change to an ISP who
will. Mine is reasonably tolerant ......
