First it was acid into the machines to get money.
Second it was "playing" with buttons and bank notes to get money and tickets.

What is next?

Someone driving up with a pickup truck, attach rope and drive off with 
Metcard machine draging along road?

(Opps, I better be careful, in 6 months time they might be doing this and
the media will come along with "How to take a Metcard Machine Home" was 
found on the internet in the newsgroup called aus.rail)
