Only the first 2 km at Molong are usable. The section from Yeoval on to
Dubbo East Junction has not been used for a decade or more, and is
pretty badly deteriorated. Molong to Yeoval was used rather more
recently, but had little or no maintenance even then, and would need a
fair bit of work to be trafficable. The only usable part is the first
2000 metres or thereabouts at Molong which has been retained as a
crossing facility.

As far as I know (corrections please?) it is not one of the lines which
has been considered for re-opening, despite silos at Cumnock and Yeoval.
