Countrylink also did this in 1996. I did Armidale - Muswellbrook and return. A lot from Sydney did day returns to Dubbo and Wagga. Day returns to Orange and Canberra were popular with the public. Some railfans did day/night returns to Melbourne and Murwillumbah. Best I can do from Canberra is to Maitland and back, if I can get the day off. Cheers David
