Re: Alice to Darwin railway delayed

No surprise up this way.

There are some _real_ problems which the Chief Minister
of the NT will have to face next year.
An election being one of them.!

People, read ELECTORS are starting to ask questions
about a whole bunch of things, like how come the NT
Government is going to spend taxpayers, that is
Australian taxpayers money (the NT is subsidised like
Tasmania to the tune of millions from the rest of
Australian taxpayers) on buying a grossly over inflated
priced PRIVATE owned power line from Darwin to
Katherine which, ......just happens to be owned by a
big American money manipulator which has "registered
interest" in the Alice Springs to Darwin Railway.
The Head Australian honcho of this outfit happens to be
Queenslander and former NT Chief Minister P Everingham.

In case you folks have missed the point, under the
National Competition policy, the PRIVATE sector is
supposed to be taking over GOVERNMENT run assets.!
Not the other way around.!

Interesting times ahead up here in the NT.

All of this has been available off the ABC Web site for
some time, check the archives.
