In recent weeks, a whistle was stolen from K153, under overhaul at Steamrail
from within an open sided shed. It is a standard VR 5 chime whistle with SRV
153 believed to be stamped on the side of the mounting flange. Anyone
encountering a suspect whistle (like with fresh filing marks) should phone
the police. Around the same time a loco toolkit dissapeared from R 761.
While most of the tools are undistinct, some may be stamped 761. Loco
toolkits are a long, low solidly constructed metal box, usually very dirty.
