The final timetable had an AM and PM service. The AM service was a 4 car W set
(the Zoo train) which went from Flemington CS to Carlingford via Pippita. The PM
service again started from Flemington and was an Intercity set bound for Sydney
via Pippita.
In the 1980's it was a mix of CPH railmotors and electrics which included a
Sunday CPH shuttle that continued to Carlingford at about 8pm. The CPH
substituted the normal electric service on Sunday night.
