The chime is initiated only when the guard presses the PA button on the guard's console.  95% of
guard's will press this when they first insert their key, then leave the handpiece hanging on the
two-way radio holder for fast announcements.

When the guard presses "PA INT EXT" the external speakers are activated.  They are horn type speakers
and are located ander the skirt beneath each set of doors.  They are so loud that you need to close the
guards door to avoid feedback when making an announcement.
