If you can afford the sleeper, I would book that. Otherwise, there is not
that much difference between them, the seats go back a little bit further,
there is a bit more leg room, the staff go through first class first when
taking meal orders (so you get first pick, which can help on the run to
Sydney since they *may* have sold out on the previous trip). You also get a
better class of passenger.

As to whether or not it is worth it, I would say sometimes (helpful, aren't
I!) If it was me, I would use first class from Melbourne to Sydney and a
sleeper from Sydney to Brisbane (due to the early arrival time into Brisbane
and the lights coming on very early). If I had ahd a win at the casino, I
would do both legs in sleeper.
