Representatives from the Great Western Society were on site today inspecting
the locomotive and applying protective grease to many parts. They were very
pleased as the condition of the locomotive is even better than expected.
Locomotive is expected to leave Wesfarmers Transport - Heavy Haulage Depot
in Miles Road Kewdale after lunch tomorrow to travel to Fremantle. No
precise time available but the oversize load has to be off the road by
4.30pm.
We will update the timing tomorrow morning if possible.
Route is Leach Highway, Stirling Highway, Tydeman Rd., Port Beach Rd. to 4&5
Berth
Please do not enter Wesfarmer's Yard or the Wharf as they are private
property.
"Pendennis Castle " is expected to be loaded on the vessel "TOBA" on Easter
Sunday.
The official handover by Hamersley Iron to the Great Western Society Limited
is on Wednesday.
