[NSW] - Tilt Train??????

I just read a post in here about the Redfern derailment & it mentioned a
prototype tilt train????? Now I am normally in Sydney travelling the train
system but have been in the UK for over 1 year now & have missed anything
regarding this. Can anyone mail me some info on it OR point me to a web site
with info on this train.

Also why is there a need for a tilt train on the Cityrail network. All I can
think of is services to Lithgow, Newcastle & Dapto. Even then once you get
past Scarborough thats a pretty much a straight run with not many curves
that would benifit Tilt Train operation.

2nd point of this little post.... everyone is bagging the Cityrail network
but I would suggest that you don't until you get out here to the UK. I am
living in the NE & the 500 KM run down to London can cost upwards of $200.
Once in London the tube is good. Wouldn't call it the best. I never had a
problem with the ticket barriers in & around Sydney BUT have been to London
twice while I've been here & everytime the bariers have rejected my ticket
freshly purchased from the machine no more than 100m away.

Question asked to me while I have been living here by a co-worker "Why does
everyone call you Skippy?"...... lord help us
