There are still plenty of North and western buses doing the rounds. I
see them quite often at macquarie uni. The North and western signs have
been removed/painted over, but they remain the same colours (white with
large red and blue stripes down the side). Some small 'Sydney Buses'
stickers have been stuck on near the front. They take quite a while to
load when there are large numbers of students heading west to Epping, as
there is only a single validator on board, next to the driver.
