G529 has been painted by Great Northern in Freight Victoria
colors at Islington Works and was to be hauled from Adelaide to
Melbourne on Toll 6AM4. In the
fullness of time, G529 was taken to Adelaide Freight Terminal this morning and
will be
hauled on a National Rail train - probably on 1AM5.
Another G class entered Islington Works today and will be
painted by Bluebird Rail.
I believe another G class was painted in Horsham and Freight
Victoria will evaluate the three before awarding a final contract.
EL locos will be painted in Islington Works and one will be
out by 30th November. There are four or five in the Works.
Has Freight Victoria made a new contract for the fuelling and
sevicing of their G class that haul MA4 and MP9?
