Some More Questions
Aus loco discussion mailing list
I am putting together a slide show for the RTM's Illawarra Division meeting
(Tues 2/11) of the surviving "bulldog" nose locomotive classes around
Australia.
I have obtained most of the background information I need from John
Cleverdon's excellent "Locopage", but I would like confirmation on two
items -
(i) ASR GM Class. How many are still officially trafficable, rather than
stored out of service?
The ones I am reasonably sure of are GM1, 34, 37, 38, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46
and 47. What about GM32?
Any others? (Not counting Great Northern or Clyde at Kelso)
(ii) Mt Newman mining (now BHP). They originally had two imported F7A's
(5450-5451). Did only one survive in preservation with Pilbara Railway
Historical Society, or both?
Many thanks,
Paul
