Last Thursday's first FV log train to Hume had both the G and X class
diesels leading. Between the locos and the first log wagon was a Victorian
VOFX steel open wagon. The second run of this train last Sat had the
push-pull configuration, with X38 leading. This time there was no open
wagon. Is there any rational explanation as to why the open wagon was part
of the first consist?
