Hi All

Just checking my holiday pics. I had forgotten that I photographed NR
121
(presumably ex NR 3) at Goninan in Newcastle on 23rd September.

It was inside a shed but the longhood was visible from the road from
outside
the boundary fence. I could not see the cab end and have no idea what
condition it was in. I got the impression that the loco might be out
for
trials in the near future, perhaps before Christmas.

The loco appears to be sitting on stands as no bogies are visible and
all of
the body bar one panel and one door are primer grey. The number boards
on
the long hood clearly show NR 121.
Presumably it will have progressed in the last 3 weeks or so.

Does anyone have any idea what the new colour scheme will be when it
(re)enters service and if a name is to be allocated at this stage?

If anyone is interested in a scanned copy of the photo, which is average
quality, let me know off line.

Regards
