ALSO... just a question... of all the loco's around the place, what loco
would have had the most livery changes? Just a curious thought. I figure
the
    CLP/CLF loco's with 4 (CR/A.N/A.N(as a CLP/F)/ASR).
    Would I be right?

    Now that's a curly one!
After consulting my loco data base and interpreting the spirit of the
question to mean ?What INDIVIDUAL Australian loco (as distinct from loco
class) has worn the most liveries, I pronounce the winner to be ex
NSWGR/PTC/SRA/FreightRail unit 4483 with 5 different liveries.
It has worn the tuscan, reverse, candy, red terror and Stealth blue
liveries. Several 44, 48 and one 45 class (4524) have worn 4 different
liveries but 4483 is the only loco to have been painted in all the NSW
variants.
The Austrac and Silverton units dont even come close.
If and when ASR standard gauge unit 859 gets painted in corporate livery
it will join 4483, having previously worn SAR mustard pot, ANR oxide red and
silver, repainted ANR yellow prior to transfer to Tasmania, then repainted
to AN green on return to the mainland for Gladstone NG workings in December
1987!
