Thank you Yuri for your explanation. 
>From a conversation with SRA reps at the recent rail conference at Darling
Harbour Sydney, I have the impression that NSW will decommission existing
track circuits and signals on crossing loops when Train Order working is
introduced (except if there is level crossing).  They claimed that the
security of the system (an *improved* version of Vic SAW) is such that
signals are no longer required.   It seems that their *Main Line Indicators*
are only glorified point indicators (like TAR). It is all a bit of a worry.
