An excellent point Steve! R711's operations really does deserve more
attention. It is quite a signifciant achievement not just from an Australian
viewpoint, but also globally, from both a technical and a marketing point of
view. However I have tried without success to finally get Melbourne on the
map by attempting to get R711s exploits covered on Rob Dickinson's
International Steam Page - even to the point of providing relevant text -
but to no avail. Obscure preservation projects in S America and Asia seem to
get more coverage on those pages.
Cheers
Mark
