Sources indicate that they are at Junee for various test to be performed by
RAC and others prior to clearance for running in NSW. They are not as yet on
hire to Austrac, but the story is that they will be soon for use on the
Melbourne - Syndey service.

Meanwhile two more ELs are being painted at Islington, one of the re-geared
examples had gone back to Parkeston (WA) to free up a non re-geared example
for painting in Adelaide.

The proposal to use them on NR Trailerail services, which was seriously
being considered, is now unlikley to eventuate.

But then of course you never know........
