Regarding message from Trevor Gibbs about no CLF locos
repainted to GSR colors - only CLP locos. GSR - that is Great Southern
Railway does not own any locos - they hire from National Rail on a hook &
pull basis.
CLF3 is painted in A.S.R. orange colors and looks the same as
a repainted CLP. After all, they were both part of the Commonwealth
Railways CL class.
The green and yellow CLP did look good while they were
maintained but since the takeover by A.S.R., no green paintwork was refurbished
as it was A.S.R. intention to eventually paint all their locos in their own
corporate colors.
