Hi all,
Passing Broadmeadows at around 13:10 this afternoon, I noticed J515 and T378
with a train of 9 SHRC carriages stopped at the Up home arrival signal.
After stopping to investigate, drivers Barry Eadie and Ross Gorman informed
me J515's right-hand pony wheel had developed a hotbox. The SHRC fitter had
packed it with grease and they were waiting fro the heat to dissipate.
The train was enroute to Ballarat, where it is to run shuttles Warrenheip to
Sulky Loop on Saturday 13 November, then will be joined by GM36 next weekend
for the Classic Rail Tours Mildura trip.
