Re: DL's in NSW

         you have confirmed my suspicion that DLs and other stored NRC units are being returned from storage. As at 1/9/99 it was reported that the following were stored:
DL: 36,38,39,40,42,43,46,48
BL: 26,28,31,35
C: 501,502,503,504,506,507,509,510

With your report that DL43 is running and a previous report that BL31 was back (can anyone confirm this) I am now wondering what other units are back? Anyone able to answer this?

DL41 is reported to be ready to emerge from Chullora W/S painted in the NR Charcoal grey and Marigold livery (possibly before the weekend). Based on other reports over the last several days, it would appear that there is (have been) 7 different DL's in NSW this week, including two in the old AN green livery (43 and 45).

Work has also started on the next 2 PL's at Chullora.

It is planned, at this stage, the 5 locomotives (4 x 48's and 1 x 80) acquired by Silverton from various scrap metal dealers will commence their trip to Parkes on the  weekend of 13/11/99. This movement is dependant on some freight vehicles also being ready to go as well.
