The VLP colour scheme is still dark red and blue. It was decided not to change the corporate image after the sale (Quite a sensible decision - to many changes in image for the public to follow).

All FV loco repaints are contracted out. The broad gauge contract is awarded to Altom at Ballarat, while the sg contract is being decided. The locos are only painted green, with the lettering/lining being carried out at Dynon.

Only VLP locos are seeing overhauls at the moment before repaints. Newport w/s finished N468 last week and A60 is now down for an overhaul. Newport now only overhauls VLP loco and only sees one loco at a time.

FV have 19 Gs, 2 Xs, 2 Ys, 1 T & 3 Hs on SG. The latest issue of MotivePower has a complete list of operable FV locos on which gauge.

It appears to me that the BG locos are getting painted "locally" and the SG are being done by contract.  Is this correct?

How many locos are on the SG at the moment?
